Hello Everyone and Welcome to The Trop Republic!!!
For those of you who may not know me, I am Shawn Davis and I am Honored and Excited to be the President of YOUR Trop Republic Parrot Head and Social Club!
As a lifelong fan of Country and Classic Rock Music I was always “aware” of Jimmy Buffett and what he represented but it wasn’t until Tiffany and My honeymoon in Bermuda that I got to experience what it all really meant. We took a glass bottom boat “booze cruise” to explore the coral reef outside St. Georges and the Captain played “Songs you know by Heart” on repeat. I was hooked!!! I came home and bought my first CD set (Meet me in Margaritaville) and that was it!
A few years later, As Virgins with a gas powered blender and a cooler full of Jello Shots, we attended our first Buffett show at Greatwoods. That sealed the Deal! What an amazing night!!! The people and show were more than we ever expected. 22 shows later, here we are!
I needed more of that vibe in my life!!! So, when we decided to do an Extreme Makeover of our backyard, we installed a pool with 30 yards of sand and Beach Bar. Shawn’s Sand Bar was Born! We Love to host parties and house concerts and see our guests enjoy themselves.
Shortly after, we joined PHCOEM and met some Wonderful people from clubs all over the country that we will count as life long friends! I will always cherish my time as a member of PHCOEM and are looking forward to working and partying with them and all the area clubs in the future!
Our goal in Trop Republic is to carry on the spirit of a Buffett Parking Lot everywhere we go and to promote Trop Rock music and the Laid Back Lifestyle while keeping the long standing tradition of Partying with a Purpose to help our communities and environment.
I look forward to seeing all of you and raising a glass in the near future.
Long Live the Trop Republic!!!
Shawn

You’ll usually find me somewhere between a guitar, a margarita, and a group of Parrot Heads singing along.
My journey into this crazy tropical world started like a lot of great stories do — with Jimmy Buffett music and a group of people who believed life should be a little more fun, a little more relaxed, and maybe involve a beach even if you’re nowhere near one. As Jimmy once sang, “’Cause I’m livin’ on things that excite me, be they pastry or lobster or love.” That lyric has always summed up the spirit of this community for me — finding joy in the things that make life worth celebrating.
Over the years I’ve found my place in the Trop Rock community not just as a fan, but as a musician and performer. Along with my wife, I perform as Princess Pupule & The Pineapple Cowboy, and together we also bring the music of Jimmy Buffett to life with our acoustic tribute show Barefoot in Margaritaville. Playing these songs and sharing them with fellow Parrot Heads has been one of the greatest joys of my life.
Like so many of us, the music brought me in — but the people are what made me stay. The Parrot Head community is filled with incredible, welcoming folks who believe in good music, good friends, and making the world a little better along the way.
That’s exactly why Trop Republic is so exciting to me. This club is about building something special here in Central Massachusetts — a place where Parrot Heads can gather, support great causes, discover amazing Trop Rock artists, and most importantly just have a great time together.
As Vice President, I’m looking forward to helping grow our little tropical escape right here at home. Whether that’s bringing more music to the area, helping with events, or just raising a glass with friends, I’m excited to see where this adventure takes us.
After all, if Jimmy taught us anything, it’s that life is better with good people, good music, and a little salt in the air. See you at the next gathering!

Hi guys!
I am so excited to be Social Director for YOUR Trop Republic Parrot Head Club!!!
Shawn and I were Parrot Heads long before we ever joined a club! I have always loved entertaining friends and family and was delighted to find a new group of folks to share with!
I’ve always been a sun worshiper and love the beach and warm tropical weather! Besides Key West, one of my favorite places is in our own back yard at Shawn’s Sand Bar. Whether hosting a party or just relaxing with Shawn, it’s my private paradise!
I’m so excited to be part of the leadership in this new club and look forward to a lot of fun times with you all as we celebrate the Tropical lifestyle while also carrying on the Parrot Head tradition of Partying With a Purpose!

Hello my fellow Phins! My name is Yvette Prayor and I’m the current secretary for our social group, Trop Republic.
I’ve been in this role for over a year now and love it. Everyone I’ve met from the Parrot heads groups are amazing folks. Who knew my love of music would bring me into a great bunch of Phin-antics!
I’m from the Midwest, a RN by trade, a mom by choice to a phenomenal young man, Reggie, and now a member to a culture and way of life that I’m loving.
My many interests: Music (of course), movies (I am the last original Block Buster card member), crocheting, adventure seeker, cooking, baseball, football, hockey (Let’s go Bruins!), writing, traveling, my friends, and meeting new people. One of my loves is the Autism community. I’ve been a member to our local Autism center for over 20 years and currently sit as chairperson on the Parent Advisory Council. I also sit on the HMEA Human Rights Committee for Worcester County.
My sights on the future for Trop Republic is to continue to be a part of an amazing bunch of people who have the same taste in music, up for going on adventures, and serving our communities.
Keep life sweet with simple.
Thanks,
Yvette

You may have seen me at tailgates or helping at a convention, but you sure know my tonga bowl!
Starting back in 1994 with no idea what was to unfold that day, I took a friends offer of $40 for a concert ticket, all you can eat and drink and we were off to Great Woods! That was my first Buffett concert experience and I haven’t looked back. Almost 100 concerts later, a few decades and a heck of a lot of fuzzy memories, here we are!
I joined my first parrot head club in 1999 and was helping with the website the following year. Over the years I’ve been on several club boards and have helped with quite a few conventions including the 2013 PHCOEM convention with Kathy Werner! Whoa.. that was one hell of a good time! In 2010 I helped with the awesome Beach House on the Mountain festival in Stowe, VT. I’ve organized music events in Key West during Meeting of the Minds at several locations but most well known are the artist jams at Captain Tony’s featuring Michael “Crawdaddy” Crawley, Homemade Wine and Swim Skinny! After that I ventured out to organize a few cruises with Trop Rock artists such as Southern Drawl, Thom Shepherd and more. Recently I’ve been working with the Northeast Region Parrot Head Convention to help bring a new way of doing things! And now, your Trop Republic Prez!
Forming Trop Republic has been a long time coming and a dream come true! The idea came from a lack of central MA options as well as wanting a club that was a bit different. Something that was open to all and based on the idea of having some fun! We are all parrot heads because we love the idea that our fearless leader, Mr Jimmy Buffett sings about… sipping drinks, chilling out and having a grand ole time! Add to that the amazing world of Trop Rock that is simply booming now! So many amazing and talented musicians singing their way to our hearts! My hope is to bring more Trop Rock to our area as well as provide a safe and fun space for all us like minded peeps.
I look forward to what the future brings!

So I can’t look back for too long
There’s just too much to see waiting in front of me
And I know that I just can’t go wrong…”
